A website 'CashlessIndia' has been launched with a vision to educate people and to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.

Additionally a nationwide helpline 144444 is to be launched, to assist people. Availability of Phone features, Aadhaar number and Bank account of the person are considered to zero in on the most suitable cashless option. This helpline also has an advance stage of operation, a call centre support at the back-end.

Demonitisation - Digital Payment

Since the Demonitisation move was announced on November 8, digital payments have increased in the range of 400 to 1,000 per cent. Digital payment companies expect this trend to stay strong, at least until cash becomes available. Once consumers develop a habit for cashless spending, it will be difficult to go back to cash. This level of transformation towards digital has not happened anywhere across the world.

Digital payments - Increased Revenue

With this booming increase in digital transactions, money will subsequently come into the system which will be accountable hence generate tax. This revenue will help in improving our country's economy.
